Burnout
In this episode of "Coffee with Karen," host Karen invites Dr. Mary Sanders, a chiropractor and medical intuitive, to talk about burnout. Dr. Sanders has over 25 years of experience as a self-employed businesswoman and consultant, and 15 years ago, she experienced burnout firsthand. Dr. Sanders took an extreme approach to dealing with burnout; she panicked and ran away to the other side of the world. Today, Dr. Sanders is committed to supporting women who want to transform the way they show up in this world and experience thriving health, happiness, and utilize the tools of energy medicine, chiropractic, functional blood chemistry analysis, and positive psychology.
Dr. Sanders begins by explaining that she graduated chiropractic school at a young age of 25, without any business training, a business coach, or knowing what she was doing. She had a tremendous amount of failures, but through perseverance and resilience and consistent work, eventually, those few events turned out to create a thriving business. Dr. Sanders had a wellness tech practice with multiple doctors, multiple staff, and leave. However, she was miserable, and her immune system was compromised. She had huge dysfunction within her thyroid. Her skin was an absolute mess. She was unable to sleep through the night, physically, and emotionally. She really never felt good enough, no matter how many new patients she had coming into the practice. As a self-employed business person and a female, she became pessimistic and cynical and withdrew from her family, including her husband. Dr. Sanders realized that she was going through some adrenal exhaustion and her hormones were all over the place. It took about a year of doing Myers cocktails, glutathione injections, tons of adrenal supplements, regular sleep, and no exercise to get enough energy to walk a mile.
Dr. Sanders's story highlights how easy it is to neglect our physical and emotional health when we're working hard, especially as self-employed businesspeople. Burnout is a widespread problem, and it's essential to recognize the signs and symptoms and take action to prevent it. The episode offers a holistic approach to helping people deal with burnout, including energy medicine, chiropractic, functional blood chemistry analysis, and positive psychology. The discussion emphasizes the importance of self-care, self-worth, and optimism, all of which are essential to thriving health, happiness, and success. Dr. Sanders's journey to recovery from burnout offers hope and encouragement to listeners who may be struggling with similar challenges.
The hosts talk about the human capacity to tap into frequencies and information, which is a skill that can be learned with fine tuning and listening. They believe that everyone has the ability to do it, but many people haven't learned how to do it or haven't become in tune with it. The hosts discuss the importance of practicing this skill to fine-tune it and explain how they meditate on a daily basis to intentionally put themselves in an expanded state to receive information.
They then delve into the topic of energy management for people in the service industry who are constantly giving their energy to their clients. They discuss how people in this industry feel they have to give 110% of themselves to their clients, but this can lead to burnout. The hosts recommend a neutral separation technique that they were taught at the academy. This technique involves opening up the space of the second chakra, which is located right underneath the belly button, to absorb other people's energy. They explain that as practitioners, they hold the energy so that their patients can feel better, but this can compromise their own energy centers over time.
The hosts explain that the technique involves neutralizing the energy before returning it to its source. This process allows the practitioner to embrace what it's like to receive their energy back and protect themselves from the energy of their clients. They recommend that people in the service industry learn this technique to prevent burnout and maintain their own energy levels.
The hosts then discuss their personal experiences with energy exchange. One host talks about teaching fitness classes and how the energy transference gave her energy back, while doing sports massage drained her energy because she wasn't taught about energy and frequency. They explain that many people in the service industry aren't taught about energy and frequency, which is why they need to learn techniques like neutral separation to protect their own energy levels.
Overall, the hosts emphasize the importance of learning energy management techniques and fine-tuning the skill of tapping into frequencies and information. They believe that everyone has the ability to do it, but it takes practice and listening to your own unique way of receiving information. They encourage people in the service industry to prioritize their own energy levels and learn techniques to protect themselves from burnout.
In this episode of the podcast, Karen and her guest, a medical intuitive, talk about the benefits of meditation and how it can help us get in touch with our inner selves. They also discuss the importance of listening to our bodies and trusting the messages the universe sends us. The guest shares a personal story about how ignoring these messages led to an injury that forced her to take a step back and reevaluate her life. Karen also shares a similar story about how she ignored multiple messages from the universe before finally getting injured and realizing she needed to make a change.
The guest starts off by encouraging listeners who think they don't have time for meditation to take a longer session, pointing out that those who think they don't have time may need it the most. They discuss how meditation allows us to observe our thoughts and emotions in a non-judgmental, compassionate way, and how this can help us find balance and get out of our own way.
The conversation then turns to the guest's work as a medical intuitive, and she explains that her intention is to help people find balance and get to the root cause of their issues. She emphasizes that she is just a conduit for information, and that the information she receives is not intended for her, but for the person she is working with.
Karen and the guest then share personal stories about how they ignored messages from the universe before finally getting injured and realizing they needed to make a change. The guest shares how she ignored multiple messages before injuring her arm, and Karen shares how she ignored daily messages for years before injuring her shoulder. They both emphasize the importance of listening to our bodies and trusting the messages the universe sends us, and how ignoring them can lead to physical injuries and other issues.
Overall, this episode is a powerful reminder of the importance of taking care of ourselves and listening to our bodies. It encourages us to take the time to meditate, observe our thoughts and emotions, and trust the messages the universe sends us. It also reminds us that sometimes we need to take a step back and reevaluate our lives in order to find balance and happiness.
